Arts & Economic Prosperity IV: The Economic Impact of Nonprofit Arts and Culture Organizations and Their Audiences in the Iowa Cultural Corridor
During 2011, the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance (ICCA) joined approximately 200 study partners across the United States to participate in the Arts & Economic Prosperity IV study. The research study, conducted by Americans for the Arts, evaluates the impact of spending by nonprofit arts organizations and their audiences on local economies.
Results found that in FY2010, the Corridor’s non-profit arts and culture industry generated:
- $79.8 million in annual economic activity
- 2,761 full-time equivalent jobs
- $7.4 million in local and state government revenue
