Lights, Camera, Action is an introduction to the world of film and video production, exploring concepts, techniques, terminology, and prectices that will allow students to create their own movies.
Class will be held twice a week, with a short talk, including visual examples, discussion, and questions. Lectures will be followed by in-class exercises and lab time to work on projects, with the help of the instructors.
The course is designed primarily for students with no previous experience in the areas of video and audio production, but students with previous experience will benefit as well.
Students will complete several projects, in-class exercises, and a short final project, to be featured in a video showcase event in the fall of 2012. Projects will be shot and edited digitally with Canon cameras and Final Cut Pro. All equipment supplies, and texts will be provided.
Membership to The Center is Required.
