Monday, April 30, 2012; 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM 
Chait Galleries Downtown, The
Representing 13 area high schools, students from the classrooms of Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Winfield-Mt. Union, Mt. Vernon, Mt. Pleasant, Clear Creek Amana, Sigourney and Iowa Mennonite Schools are included in the exhibit. The artwork is all for sale.
The artwork from these budding young artists is hung in the gallery alongside the work of accomplished and skilled professional artists. During the process of setting the show and at the opening reception of the exhibit, students are invited to interact with professional artists and gallery staff, get advice on framing, ask questions, and be among the community of local talent. A jury of professional artists judge the art and several cash prizes will be awarded.
The show is free and open to the public and runs through May 11.
The Chait Galleries Downtown: Monday- Friday 11-6, Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 12-4.
