The UI Museum of Art (UIMA) serves the University and the surrounding region by providing an inviting and inspiring place to explore the role of the visual arts in human life. Seven permanent galleries represent a collection of about 12,000 works of art ranging from African to Iowan. The museum hosts major special exhibitions as well.
