THE SET UP |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |

Artists can choose: 1) to sell their work and not demonstrate, 2) to only demonstrate and not sell their work, or 3) have the option to do both. |
|
| |
* |
Tent is centrally located in the Fun Forest across from the Cultural Center and will be open from 11:00am-7:00pm. |
|
| |
* |
Under the tent at all times will be one live demonstrating area and space for nine artists to sell their work. Booth space to sell work is 8’x8’. Demonstrating area is 8’x8’. |
|
| |
* |
Tent area has a cement floor and is an open air tent (with protective flaps for inclimate weather). |
|
| |
* |
A locked shed is provided for artists to lock up their artwork overnight. |
|
| |
* |
One complimentary ticket for admission to the Fair will be provided for each booth for each day it is rented (regardless of the number of people sharing the booth). Demonstrating artists will receive one complimentary ticket to the Fair for each day they are scheduled. |

RENTING BOOTH SPACE |

$300 for entire eleven day run of the Iowa State Fair (August 12-22) |

Artists must be present for the duration of the rental period. |
|
| |

All work must be original and of consistent high quality. No molds, greenware, kit work, reproductions, commercial or manufactured work will be accepted. The Iowa Arts Jam Committee (IAJC) reserves the right to ask that unsuitable displays or artwork inconsistent with submitted slides be removed. |

LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS |
|
|
|
|
|
|

Live demonstration times are available. Artists will be paid $50 for each two hour demonstration slot filled. Artists are allowed only one demonstration time per day. |
|
| |
* |
Demonstration times are 11am-1pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm, and 5-7pm. When filling these time slots, priority will be given to artists who are also selling their work. |
|
| |
* |
If an artist is demonstrating and renting a space in the tent, they will provide their own support staff to cover their area while demonstrating. |
|
| |
* |
Audience "hands on" experiences are encouraged. (Funding available for materials.) |
|
| |

Please submit the application and 3 images (slides or photos) of your work. Images should be indicative of the work you will be selling or demonstrating. |

Upon receipt of entry, two copies of the contract will be mailed to you confirming your requested dates/times. (Please note that reservations are first-come, first served.) |
|

Please sign both contracts and return BOTH of them, rent money, and a self-addressed, stamped envolope for return of your contract and images to the IAJC. |
|
| |
* |
IAJC will then sign both contracts and mail you one in return. |
