A famous yoga instructor once said, "...One who studies yoga in the later years gains not only health and happiness, but also freshness of mind since yoga gives one a bright outlook on life...With yoga, a new life begins, even if started later." This is not just another yoga class to make you feel like you are somewhere you don't belong. There will be a workshop atmosphere - demonstration, discussion, working with partners, and learning together. Learn how to safely do poses as well as learn their beneficial aspects. Most importantly, learn how to adapt poses to attain the best effect for your unique body.
INSTRUCTOR: Robin Ungar has a master's degree in Preventive Medicine and spent 16 years at the UI, as associate director and coordinator of an international public health research and training program for students and young professionals from many countries. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2007 and has practiced t'ai chi for many years.
