In this powerful series of 33 large drawings completed in 1966, Lasansky utilized the most basic drawing tools and media: graphite, washes of muted color, and pages from newspapers and books. Figures associated with executioners, skeletal remnants of battered humanity, and many other metaphors relate abused to abuser.
